WHAT'S ON AT GARSTANG ARTS CENTRE - FEBRUARY 2017 What's on at Garstang Arts Centre February 2017 February Art Exhibitions. David Simpson produced his first geometrical design at college 46 years ago and has exhibited his work in Arteria, Lancaster & Touchstone Art Gallery, Rochdale. You can see David's designs from Feb. 14th to the 2nd March. Immediately following David's exhibition, and to celebrate the Leonard Cheshire Centenary Project, artists from Oaklands; residents from The Moorings (a supported living centre which is part of Leonard Cheshire) and local residents from Shared Approach have been attending art lessons. Over a period of weeks everyone created great work and the energy and enthusiasm grew and grew. Work included various printing methods, working with water colours and oils to create some pieces of work based on the theme for 2017 to honour Leonard Cheshire who was born on the 7th September 1917. There will be a preview on Sunday 5th March between 2pm and 4pm and the exhibition will close on Thursday 9th March. Sheila Tearle – Exhibition Co-ordinator. And we'll be playing in the Arts Centre cafe from 10-12.30 on the 25th February - everyone is welcome to pop in and join in the singing, or the playing if you have a ukulele.
